Tahitian banana fritters recipe

Recette Beignets Banane Etahiti Travel

Transport your taste buds to the enchanting flavors of Tahiti & her islands with our recipe for Tahitian-style banana fritters.

Imagine ripe bananas carefully coated in a light, crisp batter, delicately browned to perfection, then sprinkled with a fine shower of sugar or coconut shavings.

Each bite is an invitation to escape, to discover a cuisine that skilfully fuses tradition and exoticism. Follow our recipe for an immediate culinary voyage, wherever you are.

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 4 bananas
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • Oil (for frying)
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 glass of water
  • Grated coconut

Preparation:

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into large chunks.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, egg, baking powder, salt and the glass of water. The batter should have the consistency of a classic fritter batter.
  3. Heat a deep pan of oil. Dip the banana pieces in the batter, then fry until golden brown.
  4. Drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with sugar and/or grated coconut.
