Meet dolphins in Moorea

For more than 20 years, the Moorea Dolphin Center has offered unique interactive and educational programs allowing the guests to learn about marine mammals and better understand their ecosystem, supervised by professional animal trainers.
The center is located at the hotel InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa.
It proposes three different  programs to discover the dolphin and its environment:

– MITI (Shallow water Encounter): After the educational part visiting the center, you will join a dolphin in shallow water to touch him. Learn about his anatomy, habits and behaviors during an unforgettable encounter.

From 2 years old. Kids between 2 and 7 years old have to be accompanied by a participating adult / 6 guests maximum per program / 09:00am & 1:30pm)

(Duration: 30min (15 mn of educational program, 15mn of dolphin interaction)

– MOANA (Swim with a dolphin) :

After the educational visit of the center, you will join the dolphin in deep water with a trainer. Swim along the dolphin and we’ll teach you about marine mammals while you touch him and observe him.

From 10 years old. Children between 10 & 13 years old years old have to be accompanied by a participating adult and wear a life jacket)

(Duration: 30 min / 15 min of education part, 15 min of interaction / 6 guests maximum per program / 9:30am & 2:00pm)

– REVA (Free dive with a dolphin) : Learn about the anatomy, behaviors and habits of the Bottlenose dolphins while touching and interacting with him in deep water. Then you’ll have the chance to hold on the dolphin’s fins and free dive with him for an unforgettable swim underwater.

From 14 years old. Good swimmers only.

(Duration : 40 min / 10 mn of educational visit and 30 mn of interaction with the dolphin / 4 guests maximum per program / 10:00am & 3:00pm)

Children under 2 years old and pregnant women are not allowed in our programs. Cameras are not allowed in the water during programs.

Tradition Option (including flower Lei’s and / or flower crown and a picture print) available on request.

You have been informed that the InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa will launch a renovation program for its Overwater Bungalows throughout 2019.

During this period, the Moorea Dolphin Center team will optimize the well-being of the dolphins in their environment by setting up and monitoring scientific, technical and veterinary protocols.

Due to the proximity of the renovation area around the Moorea Dolphin Center lagoon, we have also decided to only maintain the MITI and MOANA programs starting January 2^nd, 2019.

Our priority remains the well-being of our dolphins, as a result, we will do our utmost to maintain in 2019 the frequency and quality of our educational and interactive programs that we have been offering you for the last 20 years.
