The Tahiti by Pearl Resorts is situated amidst expansive tropical gardens, offering convenient access to the island’s famous black-sand beaches. Relax at the infinity pool that overlooks the beach, and enjoy rejuvenating spa treatments inspired by Polynesian traditions. From your room’s private balcony, you can admire the stunning sunset over the glistening sea.
Aranui Cruise: 12 nights – Aranui Cruise – Standard Cabin
The Aranui Cruise offers an unforgettable voyage, combining the comforts of a cruise ship with the adventure of a working cargo vessel. This one-of-a-kind journey takes you to some of the most remote and culturally rich destinations, providing an authentic experience. With opportunities for guided excursions to explore ancient archaeological sites and breathtaking natural landscapes, the Aranui Cruise is a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration.
Day 1 — Departure from Tahiti (Papeete)
Set sail at noon and cruise toward the Tuamotu Archipelago.
Day 2 — Fakarava
Explore this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and its coral-built church, then swim or snorkel among vibrant tropical fish.
Day 3 — At sea
A relaxed day on board sailing to the Marquesas, with cultural talks, ukulele music, and your first Tahitian dance lessons.
Day 4 — Nuku Hiva (Taiohae – Hatiheu – Taipivai)
Discover the Marquesas’ capital, the Tohua Kamuihei archaeological site with its giant banyans and petroglyphs, and a traditional Marquesan lunch. Polynesian evening on board.
Day 5 — Ua Pou (Hakahau)
Take in the island’s dramatic spires, meet local sculptors, and enjoy a Marquesan feast followed by the traditional “bird dance.”
Day 6 — Hiva Oa (Atuona)
Walk in the footsteps of Paul Gauguin and Jacques Brel, both laid to rest overlooking Motu Hanakee.
Day 7 — Hiva Oa (Puamau)
Visit the Tohua Me’ae Iipona, home to some of the largest stone tikis in all of Polynesia.
Day 8 — Fatu Hiva (Omoa – Hanavave)
Watch a tapa-making demonstration, then hike (or sail) to the Bay of Virgins, one of the world’s most beautiful bays.
Day 9 — Ua Huka (Vaipaee – Hane – Hokatu)
Witness the ship’s spectacular 180° turn in Vaipaee’s “Invisible Bay,” explore the island by 4×4, and lunch at a local family restaurant.
Day 10 — At sea
A day of talks and activities as you sail back toward the Tuamotu.
Day 11 — Rangiroa
Enter the world’s second-largest atoll, greeted by dolphins, with world-class diving and a glass-bottom boat on offer.
Day 12 — Bora Bora
Spend the day on a private motu beneath Mount Otemanu, with optional lagoon tours, diving, and swimming with sharks and rays.
Day 13 — Papeete (Tahiti)
Time to say nānā to your fellow travelers and the Aranui crew.
